I am a stay at home Mom. I am home schooling my toddler. Now that may seem wierd or odd to some, but the new fad in child rearing is to say that day care is school. Well, if that is true, then I most certainly am home schooling my toddler. And for those of you who don't stay home. I havworked 3 jobs at a time, 60 plus hours a week. I have let work consume me. Work from home, nights weekends, off the clock. Going to bed with work on the mind and not sleeping at night thinking about my job. I know work. And, I can tell you this: Being a stay at home Mom--is more work then I have ever done in my life. I am so exhausted at night I can barely stand up. Yet, it is the most fullfilling satisfying and joyfilled life I have ever lived. Every moment is sacred. It is work, it is way more then full time hours, it is emotionally, physicall and spritually taxing. And, while I try to cherish every moment and remind myself that my daughter and I will never have this day again. She will never be this young, this small ever again. Every day she grows. Learns. And I to my amazement get to watch it happening!
I am a very spiritual person and live every day in prayer and contemplation on the miracle of my life and the world around me, and no one teaches me that better then my little daughter and the very miracle of her being!
My daughter is amazing, smart, beautiful, friendly, loving and daily strangers tell me so. She has so much love and light to share with all that every room she walks into wakes up and smiles!
People ask me-what do you do that your baby is so happy? I usually laugh and say Oh, well she is just a happy baby and I am blessed! Thank you! But...I do do a few things that I thought I would share:
First during pregnacy I said Thank You every day. I mediated. I prayed. I received regualr reiki healing throughout the 9 months and in each trimester. I was also intuned to be a reiki practioner myself and have beeb sending her reiki energy and love and light since in the womb.
I still send her reiki energy and every night as I rock her to sleep I send her love and light and speak blessing and affirmations over her.
Every night before bed, I thank God for the day. I recall all of my favorite moments and send loving gratitude to God for each moment.
I recall the moments when I was not at my best. And ask for guidance to be better, stronger, more patient next time.
And I also have turned each day into a magical day of learning and discovery for both of us. I use each day to learn myself and then as I do, I am engaged and so is my daughter. WE are learning sign language, WE are learning french! WE are learning (and re-learning) about biology, geology, astronomy, oceanography! Wow, I have all this time to re-discover the world and at the same time show it to my daughter!
What a wonderful life!
I'll have some activities that we do later...
